Graduation Employment
Near graduation, students are advised to work closely with the Career Advisor assigned to their program in order to take full advantage of the companies who have signed up for On Campus Recruiting, Career Fairs and other opportunities. All of the services listed below are offered at no cost to the employer.
To obtain the assistance of the Career Services Office to help fill a job opening, email a brief description of the position, including education and experience required, to dglatchak@devry.edu . The Career Advisor for the program that best meets your needs will then post the position to the HireDeVry website and forward appropriate resumes to you. All job leads remain active for student self referral for approximately 6 weeks after receipt.
Career Fairs provide an excellent means to increase company presence on campus, allow students to develop networking skills and encourage further enhancement of the business - student relationship. Students are encouraged to bring resumes and dress for an interview. Companies report very favorable feedback from past Career Fairs. To arrange an On-Campus Recruiting date, contact the Career advisor for the program from which you wish to recruit students, or email a job description and the appropriate advisor will contact you. It is recommended that you make arrangements at least two weeks in advance of the date you want.
In addition to CARD (Career Development) class in the term before graduation, students receive feedback on interviewing techniques, job search skills and resume format from their respective Career Advisor. All of these efforts help maintain our exceptionally high employment rates.
